Position Overview
Are you a detailed-oriented and highly organized individual with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to your community? We are seeking a Finance and Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in supporting our mission.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Manage vendor relations and maintenance contracts, serving as an ambassador for Meals on Wheels.
- Support day-to-day operational needs by overseeing facility repairs and liaising with service providers for seasonal outdoor maintenance.
- Coordinate month-end accounting activities and prepare financial/statistical reports.
- Oversee the organization’s internal controls and compliance.
- Lead the annual audit with external auditors.
- Ensure accurate financial processes and tracking for fundraising, donations, and grants.
- Manage facility operations, including tracking capital assets and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate IT services with a managed service provider.
- Provide organizational leadership and be an advocate for our organization in the community.
Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary degree and 3+ years of experience related to bookkeeping/financial management in a medium-sized organization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience in a not-for-profit organization is an asset.
- Familiarity with facility management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Highly organized, excellent time management skills, and capable of handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.

Salary and Hours
- $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

Position Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for a summer position in our Client Services Department. This role is scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week until August 31, 2025. The successful incumbent is a self-directed, motivated team player who is compassionate, patient, organized and committed to our focus of serving individuals with barriers to prepare nutritious food. Customer service experience working with vulnerable people or seniors is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Client Services team with a variety of administrative tasks
- Enrolls new clients and administers client changes and preferences.
- Responds to phone calls, emails and in person to any program inquiries.
- Delivers meals on an as-needed basis while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Completes annual client and volunteer surveys.
- Inputs client and delivery information into social care software.
- Provides additional support to team members by helping wherever it is needed.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree (or current pursuit thereof) in a related field with 1 to 3 years of related experience. Equivalencies may be considered.
- Customer service experience required.
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in an administrative role with excellent data entry skills.
- Organized, excellent time management and able to handle multiple projects under tight timelines.
- A clean vulnerable sector check.
Candidates must be
- between the ages of 15 – 30
- Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations (international students on a work/study permit are not eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program)..

Wages and Scheduled Hours of Work
- $16.00 per hour
- Scheduled hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm excluding statutory holidays.

Position Overview: An engaging opportunity exists for a summer position providing kitchen support in our fast-paced environment working alongside staff and volunteers. This individual will work in a team environment while ensuring that our clients receive nutritious meals and filling in for staff vacancies by washing dishes or receiving and storing goods. This role is scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week until August 31, 2025. Kitchen experience is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Display and adhere to safe food handling practices, cleanliness and hygiene.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Support dessert, sandwich and salad- preparation, packaging and assembling.
- Delegate tasks to volunteers with the support of the kitchen supervisors.
- Store and date food items.
- Assist with responsibilities of ware washer.
- Assist order picking, labelling and checking frozen orders.
- Related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One year of related culinary/kitchen experience with a preference for experience in high-volume kitchens.
- Emergency First Aid and Food Safety Certifications are preferred.
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Check – (required).
- Organized and able to handle multiple projects under tight timelines.
- Positive, flexible, punctual, and outgoing team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Candidates must be:
